“My life started to change for the better the first day I walked into the Because We Care Boutique. I was greeted by beautiful and caring women who accepted me right away. Nothing was a problem for them – that first styling session made me feel like a princess. The staff were so encouraging and believed in me when I couldn’t do that for myself.

The best part of my experience has been the ongoing support and the sense of belonging the Boutique has given me. I know I can drop by any time and feel welcomed. I’m having another styling session soon because I’ve landed a part-time job with someone I met through the Community and Business Women’s Network. I wouldn’t have had the confidence to attend networking events before I met Sharyn and her team. I’m also parenting, writing a thesis and volunteering for a social group. I want to give back because I know that connecting with people who care is so important when you’re in a dark place. I really don’t think I’d be here without these women supporting me.”
